Roof height decides whether you can work inside it
A high roof lets most people stand up in the cargo area. On a low roof you are kneeling all day. If the van is a workshop rather than just transport, the high roof pays for itself in the first month.
Payload runs out before space does
It is easy to fill a van past its rating with tools, parts and shelving without filling the floor. Check the payload figure and subtract the weight of the shelving you plan to install.
Kilometres read differently on a work van
Fleet vans often live on highway routes with disciplined servicing. A well-maintained 200,000 km van can outlast a neglected one at half that. Ask for the service history.
Think about how it will be financed
